What's a flatback stud?
A flatback stud is jewellery with a flat disc that sits against your skin instead of a ball or standard back. No poking out, no snagging on pillows or hoodies, it's the most comfortable option for healed piercings.

What materials do you use?
Implant grade ASTM F136 titanium and 316L surgical steel, both hypoallergenic and safe for healed piercings. You'll find the exact material listed on every product page.

What gauge and length do I need?
Check the jewellery you're currently wearing, or ask your piercer, they'll know your exact gauge and length. Sizing down to a thinner gauge than your piercing can cause irritation, so it's always better to double check than guess. Full breakdown on our Size Guide page.

Can I wear these in a fresh piercing?
Implant grade titanium is one of the best materials for fresh piercings, and our internally threaded and threadless flatback styles are gentle on new piercings since there's no external thread to catch or tear on the way in.

We don't recommend steel for fresh piercings. Some people do get pierced with it, but in our experience titanium is the better choice while you're healing, we'd suggest saving steel pieces for once your piercing's fully healed.

Whichever material you choose, make sure you're getting the right length for the swelling stage you're at, your piercer can tell you what that is, and match the gauge they originally used.

How long until my order arrives?
Please allow 7-15 days from order to delivery. Most orders land on the shorter end of that window. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships.

Can I return or exchange an item?
Body jewellery can't be returned or exchanged once opened, due to hygiene reasons. If something arrives faulty or wrong, contact us straight away and we'll sort it. Full details on our Returns page.

Do you ship outside New Zealand?
Not right now, we currently only ship within NZ.
